Working background

General Secretary – Legal Manager of Almacenes Éxito S.A. (2009 - 2011), Legal Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, (2001 - 2005). Senior associate of the law firm Brigard & Urrutia Abogados. At this law firm, Jaime was a member of the infrastructure and public utilities team and was in charge of coordinating the participation of clients in concession, infrastructure and privatization projects. Some of his clients have been Endesa S.A. (España), Endesa S.A. (Chile), Vivendi (Compagnie Générale des Eaux), Fanalca S.A and Ciudad Limpia S.A. E.S.P. In that capacity, he participated in the privatization processes of Central Hidroeléctrica de Betania S.A. E.S.P., Emgesa S.A. E.S.P., Codensa S.A. E.S.P., Chivor S.A. E.S.P., and EPSA S.A. E.S.P., and in the structuring and negotiation of works contracts similar to the Tibito concession EPC of the Empresa de Acueducto de Bogotá. Has done work also for SAB Miller plc, Casino Guichard Perrachon, Almacenes Éxito S.A., Bavaria S.A., Argos S.A. and Celsia S.A. (Colinversiones.), and drafted the engineering and construction contracts for the Calle 26 building of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogotá, Colombia.

Jaime was a lecturer in the event Workshop and Discussion Panel on Corporate Governance (with a presentation on the fiduciary duties of shareholders) – sponsored by the economic newspaper La República (2014).

Lawyer from Universidad Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario (1997), with a specialization in financial law of the same university (1998). Graduated with the highest honors. Has an LLM in law and international finance of the Harvard Law School (with the Enrique Low-Murtra scholarship). The incumbent professor of civil law, obligations and contracts, and corporate law at Universidad Colegio Mayor de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. Also a professor in the Board of Directors program of Universidad de los Andes and professor of the master in law in international contracts of Universidad Externado de Colombia
